Solihull Garden Design - Portfolio - Hard Landscaping, Border Design and Planting

Clearing the overgrown garden border

As this long border was protected by the wall, which also retains heat throughout the day, we decided to be bold and plant with hot colours – red, yellow and orange.

The overgrown border was cleared of all weeds and bramble and a beautiful new path was laid using natural sandstone.

Planting was layered to give seasonal colour and interest throughout the year with great swathes of daffodils for the spring.

Finally an irrigation system was installed, together with a composted bark mulch to keep maintenance and watering tasks to a minimum.
