The hotel
has a long path which leads the bridal party down through the lawn
and onto the Island, across the 'kissing bridge' and onto the fairytale
summer house where civil ceremonies are carried out. |
| As this is a very large
and open lawn, we wished to define the area and lead the eye down
to the bridge, drawing you through the grounds and over the bridge.
We designed and planted two formal borders which had to live up to
the task in hand in both scale and beauty. |

They were therefore created
using English Yew as a back drop, with Holly standards - brought in
from Italy, and clipped box to give a crisp and beautifully manicured
look, whilst being softened with large sweeping curves. |
| Box balls were planted
to compliment and mirror the curves of the box whilst leaving space
for guests to meander through the borders at their leisure. |

Benches have been placed
within the borders to further encourage guests to explore and provide
resting spots and photographic opportunities for the wedding party. |
